Bivouac in the 7 Laux
This time, it is in the 7 Laux area (Massif de Belledonne) that I take you for a hike over 2 days in bivouac.
The route starts a few kilometres after the village Rivier d’Allemond in Isère at 1,300m above sea level, climbs up to the Col des 7 Laux at 2,184m via several lakes and then continues to the refuge of the same name.
Back to the Col des 7 Laux for the bivouac, I then continued my hike to the Col de la Vache (2,556m) to go down the other side until I came back to Rivier d' Allemond and finally returned to the place of departure along the road for a few kilometers.
On the difficulty side, the passage of the Col de la Vache requires a good attention (both uphill and downhill) and a good foot, because the passage is quite delicate. Otherwise, apart from the difference in altitude, it does not pose any other difficulties.
Quite quickly, I had the opportunity to cross a herd of ibexes posed towards the lake of Sagne and the next morning, once the Col de la Vache passed some ibexes and a small group of chamois at the bottom of the stonemason (but since they move much faster than me on the rocks, I lost them of sight rather quickly ^^). Despite the presence of the wolf in this area, I did not see any of them; on the one hand, fortunately, because I would not have been very proud to cross the road of a wolf at nightfall next to my tent, but on the other hand, photographing a wolf in the wild would have been my beautiful day as a photographer. ^^
On the landscape side, the path passes through different types of terrain: plains, stones and numerous natural and artificial lakes, and we have the opportunity to cross many streams.
The advantage of going to the mountains in October is that the mountain is much calmer, meeting other people becomes exceptional. Once the tent was set up, I was able to spend an evening alone in the mountain, without any noise except for a torrent in the distance. An ideal place to settle down, contemplate the landscape and let yourself be carried away by the view. A moment of pure happiness. :-)
Unfortunately, there are not many pictures in spite of the 2 days of walking, although we are already in October, the sun is still very intense and therefore the landscape pictures are rather average with a very hard light and shadows. Having said that, I'll let you discover the 10 photos below, hoping you enjoy them. :-)
